The Procyon Sector is a distant, underdeveloped corner of Hegemonic space — far enough from the galactic Core that the Hegemon pays it little attention. Four star systems, dozens of worlds, and a tangle of jump gates connect a region full of opportunity, danger, and ancient mystery.
The sector is nominally administered by House Malklaith, one of the Hegemony's seven Noble Houses. Malklaith's Governor, Ritam al'Malklaith, keeps his seat on Warren (moon of Aleph, in the Rin system). Galactic law is present here, but slower and less certain than in the Core worlds.

Getting Around
Jump gates connect the systems. Travel through a gate is near-instant, but gates can be temperamental — the Rin–Holt gate is notoriously unstable, and the Hantu Gate in Holt has never been activated at all.
Within a system, travel between planets takes hours to days by conventional drive. Ansible networks handle in-system communication instantly; cross-system messages travel by courier ship, making live conferences between systems rare.
The Mysterious Signal
A Precursor signal bleeds through the Procyon Sector — its origin unknown, its meaning unclear. Multiple factions want it. Your crew just wanted a simple job.
