The Guilds of the Hegemony

Hegemonic Guilds are the official bodies that control technology, commerce, and infrastructure across the galaxy. Having a Guild License matters — expired licenses mean your ship doesn't get serviced, your cargo doesn't get cleared, and the system police start paying attention.

Major Guilds in Procyon

Guild of Engineers (Tier V)

The most powerful Guild presence in Procyon. Responsible for resource acquisition, cybernetics, AI, tech advancement, and research. They often have the best toys. They control SB-176 (the platform above Vet in Rin), the Iota Shipyards, and the IA-23 station above Vos. Known for ever-present monitoring — engagement rolls on SB-176 are always at -1d due to station surveillance.

Starsmiths Guild (Tier III)

Maintain the jumpgates and hyperspace lanes, and build ships. All ships in Hegemonic space must be certified and registered with the Starsmiths — though forged papers are all too common. Allied with House Malklaith and the 51st Legion.

Counters Guild (Tier IV)

Officials who maintain the galactic currency network and build shadow repositories in any system the Guild has a presence in, storing mysterious items and securing auctions and commerce.

Yaru (Makers Guild) (Tier II)

Force-grows clones for labor. Clones are short-lived, have a symbol on their foreheads, and are supposedly only barely sentient. Folks are distinctly uncomfortable around the clones.

Guild Rules

  • Guilds guard their domains jealously.
  • There are ship repair shops with mechanics using expired Guild Licenses — common in the fringe.
  • Plenty of mystic groups walk freely through the streets of every world — even though they're not part of any official Hegemonic Cult.

Vos (Glimmer) — Guild Mining

The crystalline world Vos is closely monitored by the Guild of Engineers, which controls crystal extraction via Guild station IA-23. Any job done on Vos earns +1 Cred but also +1 Heat — the Guild watches everything here. Morek and Ra-na (most feared bounty hunters in Procyon) are on retainer to hunt anyone who loots Vos.
